MITB (Micro Internet Testbed Backbone) is initiated to simulate the current internet backbone. It provides a research platform for faculty members and enables them to carry out research and experiments on it. The backbone is ATM network, and we will use PCs installed with Redhat 7.1 to act as routers. They are classified into BGP and IGP routers. Ethernet segment can be attached to the backbone, thus provides an ideal environment for research.
